The Challenge: Capture personal stories from local community members and research historical information to create a story telling the past, present, and future of the city of North Chicago, Illinois.

The Solution: This project required multiple hats from producer and editor to researcher and videographer. Over the course of 2 years, a small team (including myself) pieced together a historical documentary on the city of North Chicago, Illinois. We went into this project with a story in mind; however, as we interviewed different community members, the story ran its course, and we worked to mold it.

We had a skeleton crew of myself, a writer, and a videographer to capture footage and piece together a story. We received a lot of support from outside resources to find old records and historical photos.

This truly was a labor of love project, and it was so exciting to see it come together. The final deliverables included: a social media presence, a trailer, and a full-length/4-part film.
